 October 2011  Kate's short story 'Venus Night and Day' receives a commendation in the Manchester Fiction Prize 2011, selected from 2000 entries
 September 2011  'The Beauty Chorus' is selected for discussion by the Ain Khaled Book Club
 August 2011 Kate is completing her second novel for Corvus Atlantic, 'The Perfume Garden'

June 2011 The Beauty Chorus is launched with a reading at Virginia Commonwealth University Qatar, and Kate takes part in the Bloomsbury Qatar Foundation Summer Writing Institute, where she is interviewed on Cover to Cover, QF Radio.
Kate takes part in the MMU/Arvon summer school at Moniack Mhor
 May 2011 Kate is interviewed by BBC Radio stations across the UK, and appears with an ATA veteran on ITV London Tonight 
In a 40 stop virtual book tour, Kate is interviewed and guest blogs on sites from America, Australia, the UK and Canada.
 April 2011 1st April 'The Beauty Chorus' is published in the UK and Commonwealth. The novel is launched at One Tree Books, Independent Bookseller of the Year

January 2009 Soundart Radio asked Kate to write and record an original piece about the theme of light.  'Light Year' was featured in their 'First Spark' festival
December 2008 Kate founded 'Burning Lines' an online creative writing project.  A team of international writers used Blogger to create an original work of fiction, available to read online at 'Burning Archives'
November 2008 Alltop have selected WKDN as a 5***** site.  The blog is being read in over 60 countries, including all 51 US States.

'One Book' has published Kate's selection - Gaston Bachelard's 'Poetics of Space.'

Kate is a NaNoWriMo Winner 2008 - a global novel writing project.

Kate is delighted to announce she is now working with a wonderful new agent, Sheila Crowley, at Curtis Brown.  Sheila has an amazing list of authors including Tasmina Perry, Jojo Moyes and Santa Montefiore and it is fabulous to be working with her.
